Pastry chef Peggy Porschen is the pioneer of perfect, whimsical cakes in London…
Peggy Porschen
From Planes to Pastry
Originally from a charming village near Cologne, in Germany, Peggy dreamed of becoming a pastry chef since childhood. While working as a flight attendant, she discovered the art of “British Sugar Craft”. She saw it as a chance to turn her passion for baking into a thriving career.
In 1999, Peggy graduated from Le Cordon Bleu. Having become a pastry chef in London, she founded a bespoke cake business in 2003. Her husband, Bryn Morrow, joined her in the adventure. Thanks to her determination, she won over celebrities, members of the royal family and VIPs. Her reputation in the industry is well established.

A World Tinted Pink
Peggy Porschen ; Two Shops in London
For the first Peggy Porschen parlour, the Belgravia district of London was the obvious choice. Peggy and Bryn chose Elizabeth Street in particular, at the top of their wish list. In the heart of the British capital, this discreet little gem is full of artisans and upmarket shops. The ideal place to bring their luxury café concept to life.
In 2019, a second address opened in Chelsea. It follows the same codes: a world of pink hues and pastel colours.

Belgravia, an Elegant London District
The Peggy Porschen parlour is in Belgravia, one of London’s most exclusive districts. Built in the 19th century, it stands out for its white stucco façades and leafy squares. The area is a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park. Embassies and designer boutiques line its quiet streets. A stroll through Belgravia is the perfect complement to a sweet break at Peggy Porschen.
Peggy Porschen ; Indulgent, Instagrammable Cupcakes
London is full of charming coffee shops. Every shopfront seems to invite an Instagram-worthy photo, and Peggy Porschen is no exception. Beyond the aesthetics, the address stands out for its indulgent, comforting treats. On every visit, it is hard to resist photographing your coffee and cupcake. Once through the door, the pink decor and polished atmosphere promise a truly “sweet” moment. My favourite: the strawberry and champagne cupcake.

An address to remember on your next trip to the English capital. And for more ideas, why not read Cinq Jours en Angleterre ; Londres et Newbury (in French)?
