L’Impression Café, a café serving indulgent food, a stone’s throw from Lausanne station.
L’Impression Café
Brunch in Lausanne
A new warm and gourmet address has arrived in Lausanne. Could the city have spread the word for a gourmet revival, far from the big chains? A delightful trend, in any case! L’Impression Café has settled at 15 avenue Louis-Ruchonnet, barely three minutes from the station. Its name is no coincidence: the café occupies the former premises of the Imprimerie Vaudoise printing house.

Minimal Decoration and Zen Spirit
L’Impression Café ; A Former Printing House
Once through the door, an almost bare room reveals itself. Identical chairs and tables create a zen, Nordic spirit. A few succulents add a touch of colour to the room. The windows and large bay windows let in beautiful light. After barely a few minutes, you already feel at home.

Brunch, a British Invention
The word brunch combines breakfast and lunch. It appeared in England at the end of the 19th century, to describe a late Sunday meal. The tradition then crossed the Atlantic and became an American ritual. Eggs, pancakes, pastries and fruit juices are its great classics. Today, brunch has taken hold in every big city, Lausanne included.

Food and Brunch
On a first visit, the menu appeals with its simplicity, no frills. The explanations are clear and tempting. The choice falls on a slice of cheesecake and a coffee. As soon as the plate arrives, your mouth waters. The portion is indulgent and generous, a real joy. And the service is impeccable: everything is perfect.
A few days later, a return for breakfast, with complete confidence. Menu in hand, the order is quickly placed: a bread basket and a hot chocolate. It all lives up to expectations. Crusty bread, indulgent jam and an extraordinary hot chocolate.

Brunch remains one of the house’s strengths. The menu offers pancakes, avocado toast and other treats until mid-afternoon. At weekends, several sittings follow one another, so it is best to book. On sunny days, the terrace offers a lovely break in the sun. Right next door, at number 11, Nandanam (in French) invites you on a culinary journey to India.
L’Impression Café is recommended for an indulgent, timeless moment. An address already adored to bits!
