A Lausanne Institution

Restaurant, bar and club, the Bleu Lézard has been feeding the people of Lausanne and making them dance since 1992. Its eclectic seasonal menu offers authentic homemade dishes. At the bar, the menu is also full of flavour. In the basement, the Cave du Bleu offers an atmosphere unique in Lausanne. With its human-scale setting, it leaves no one indifferent.

Restaurant, Cellar and Private Parties

Le Bleu Lézard ; Since 1992

From its opening, the restaurant caught the interest of locals and attracted a diverse clientele. It delights regulars and curious visitors alike, in an authentic café-bistro atmosphere. On Sundays, it offers a particularly eclectic à la carte brunch. Sweet and savoury dishes are prepared on site, in the venue’s kitchen. A treat for food lovers.

Beyond its food, the Bleu Lézard hosts music nights, comedy evenings and shows. The intergenerational programme, rich in discoveries, alternates local and international artists. The cellar can also be rented for private parties. On Tuesday evenings, the venue also hosts message nights, a kind of friendly speed dating. Very popular, they require booking a spot. A far more rewarding way to meet people than an app.

Brunch at the Bleu Lézard ; A Gourmet Sunday

A birthday is the occasion for a return to this legendary restaurant. One Sunday, late in the morning, the table gets ready to discover the brunch. The menu, available on the website, is appetising from the very first read.

Spinach and salmon toasts at brunch

Grilled toasts topped with spinach and salmon make a generous first choice. The two large slices of bread, perhaps a little thick, fill you up quickly. A green salad accompanies them. Around the table, burgers and waffles complete the order. To top it all off, a lovely basket of pastries and breads is shared by all.

This brunch comes highly recommended, for the venue, the menu and the professionalism of the staff. An address to rediscover without delay, just like the rest of its world. For another Lausanne brunch, the one at the Beau-Rivage Palace (in French) offers a more luxurious version.
