Newby Teas Comes to Switzerland

In December 2017, Newby Teas opened its very first European boutique in Gstaad. In the afternoon, it is time to discover this place nestled in the Chalet Chitra. The exterior sets the tone: luxury and elegance. Inside, a unique tea room reveals itself. Light pours through large bay windows and illuminates superb wooden cabinets. They hold colourful, refined tea caddies. In the centre, two tables display transparent teapots, each revealing a tea of a different hue. The colourful, carefully designed packaging immediately catches the eye. In front of the windows, beautiful samovars complete the décor. Tasting time approaches, and impatience grows.

Gstaad is one of the most prestigious resorts in the Swiss Alps. Its pedestrian village is lined with traditional chalets and luxury boutiques. In winter, the ski area attracts an international clientele. In summer, hikes and mountain lakes take over. A break at Newby Teas fits perfectly into a stroll through the village.
