An Exceptional Selection of Teas

Fleurs de Thé ; From Green Tea to Rooibos

Near the Montreux casino, the tea room offers a range of loose-leaf teas carefully selected by Bin, the owner. Green, black, white tea or rooibos, the very complete offer suits all tastes. Connoisseurs and novices alike will be delighted. For the undecided, Bin happily guides you towards a few little-known delights. The tea room also offers tea and matcha ceremonies, by reservation.

Green Tea, Black Tea ; The Same Plant

All teas come from the same plant, the tea bush, called Camellia sinensis. Their difference lies mainly in how the leaves are processed after picking. Green tea is not oxidised, which preserves its vegetal notes. Oolong tea is semi-oxidised, between freshness and roundness. Black tea, fully oxidised, offers stronger aromas. Finally, white tea is made of young, barely processed buds.

Fleurs de Thé ; Passion and a Journey for the Senses

This tea room is sometimes discovered by chance during a stroll through Montreux. Its terrace then invites a refreshing break. On Bin’s advice, a little-known tea proves a pleasant surprise. Cold brewed, it offers an unusual way to enjoy this drink. A first encounter that wins you over immediately.

Each new visit lets you discover a different variety of teas. Those with a sweet tooth pair them with scones, dorayaki or macarons. A Japanese pastry, dorayaki brings together two small, soft pancakes filled with red bean paste.
