The team wants to give the inn back its place at the heart of village life. To do so, it focuses on seasonal, generous cuisine rooted in the Geneva terroir. Working with local producers feeds this approach. As manager, Joanna Collet ensures a warm welcome in a friendly atmosphere. In fine weather, the tree-lined terrace invites a meal with a view of the Salève.

In the kitchen, chef Antrix Esperanzate offers a menu that changes with the seasons. Having worked at the Grand Hôtel Kempinski and the Marriott, he signs a modern bistro cuisine. Products of the Geneva terroir take pride of place. Each plate favours quality ingredients, accurate flavours and the pleasure of sharing.

The menu showcases seasonal produce. Lake fish, bistro classics and farmhouse recipes sit side by side indulgently. More summery options bring a touch of freshness. This sincere, indulgent and accessible cuisine remains true to the spirit of a village address.

A sunny lunch offers a taste of the spirit of the house. Calm, greenery and indulgence make up a timeless moment.

When Terroir Meets Conviviality

From arrival, the calm surrounding this lovely address charms immediately. The terrace, surrounded by greenery, offers a particularly pleasant setting for lunch in fine weather.

The meal begins with a fresh, seasonal starter. Gnocchi with roasted pepper cream, burrata and basil then take over. A strawberry pavlova concludes this discovery on a light note.

Sharing with a companion makes it possible to taste other dishes, including the perch fillets and the île flottante. The perch, perfectly executed and tasty, is a big favourite. A prosecco, a gin and plenty of water accompany the meal, as the heat is very present.

The serenity of the place charms as much as the quality of the cuisine. All the dishes tasted prove successful. The seasoning sometimes seems a little discreet, but a turn of the pepper mill is enough to correct it. The address is happily recommended for seasonal cuisine in a peaceful setting. Lovers of traditional Swiss cuisine also enjoy the Edelweiss in Geneva (in French). In the Geneva countryside, Le Vallon (in French) also cultivates the spirit of a fine village address, in Conches.
